It's Over 1,000!
I stand before you with immense pride and gratitude as we celebrate a milestone that is close to my heart—the remarkable achievement of reaching 1,000 games in my Steam library.
I stand before you with immense pride and gratitude as we celebrate a milestone that is close to my heart—the remarkable achievement of reaching 1,000 games in my Steam library. This journey has been an adventure filled with countless hours of exploration, a little hesitation, and much spontaneity. With great humility and a sense of accomplishment, I take this moment to thank myself for my dedication to procrastinating on important tasks in pursuit of achieving this incredible milestone.
First and foremost, I want to acknowledge the countless hours of effort wasted as I idled away my work days, reading articles in PC Gamer, scrolling the forums of Rock, Paper Shotgun (back when it was good), and repeatedly watching E3 game trailers on Gamespot before YouTube was a thing. A special mention goes to Jeff Gerstmann and the OG crew at the Giant Bombcast and Giant Beastcast for keeping me on track with their profound love of wrestling games. I'm not too fond of wrestling... but I now have multiple WWE games and Fire Pro Wrestling World in the library.
I also want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to my wife for turning a blind eye to my gaming passions, and my neglect of life's other responsibilities. She is now addicted to Murder Podcasts, but that means more time for me to customise my Steam Library Artwork.
As I look forward to my next 1,000+ games, I am filled with anticipation for the upcoming Steam sales, Humble Bundles, and r/gamedeals giveaways. Thank you, wallet, for making this journey possible and for my all-too-familiar credit card limit, which enables so much happiness and empty fulfilment in my life.
PS: Dead Rising 4 was the lucky game, and it's going cheap in the Capcom Summer 2024 bundle
